Smart Visualizations: AI-Generated Charts

Quick Answer: When your conversation involves data or comparisons, the AIs automatically generate charts and graphs. Find them in the Visuals tab, download them as PNG or SVG, and they’re automatically included in PDF and DOCX exports.

What It Does

When your conversation involves data, comparisons, or analysis that benefits from a visual, the AIs generate charts and graphs automatically. You don’t need to ask for them - they appear alongside the text responses when the data calls for it. The system uses different chart types across AI responses to avoid repetition. One AI might generate a bar chart while another creates a line graph for the same data, giving you multiple ways to see the information.

How to Use It

Enable or Disable

Toggle visualizations on or off using the chart icon in the sidebar header row. When enabled, AIs will generate charts when the conversation calls for them.

Finding Your Charts

All charts generated during a conversation are collected in the Visuals tab in the right sidebar. Open this tab to browse every chart from the session in one place.

Downloading Charts

Each chart has download buttons above it:
  • PNG - Image file with transparent background. Good for presentations and documents.
  • SVG - Vector file that scales to any size without losing quality. Good for print and detailed editing.

Charts in Master Documents

When you export a Master Document as PDF or DOCX, charts from the conversation are automatically embedded in the document. You don’t need to download and insert them manually - they appear in the right context within the generated document.

Availability

Smart Visualizations are available on all paid plans (Pro, Frontier, and Enterprise).

Tips

  • If you want more charts, include specific numbers or comparison data in your prompts. “Compare the market share of the top 5 players” is more likely to generate a chart than “tell me about the market.”
  • The Visuals tab is your gallery. Even if you scrolled past a chart in the conversation, it’s always available there.
  • PNG with transparent background works well when you need to place the chart on a colored slide or page.
  • Charts from the Visuals tab also feed into the Scribe and Adjudicator, so they inform Master Document generation even beyond direct embedding.
