- The difference between Full Power and Balanced
- Where to find the setting
- When to use each option
What It Does
Each AI provider (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity) offers multiple model tiers - from fast and efficient to powerful and thorough. AI Power lets you choose which tier Suprmind uses for your messages.Full Power
Uses the most capable version of each AI. These models:- Produce more thorough, nuanced responses
- Handle complex reasoning better
- Take slightly longer to respond
- Use more of your monthly token budget per message
Balanced
Uses faster, lighter models. These models:- Respond quicker
- Use less of your monthly budget per message
- Handle everyday questions well
- May produce less depth on complex topics
Where to Find It
Go to Settings, Modes tab. The AI Power selector is there. You can also access it from the chat settings area.Availability
AI Power selection is available on Pro and Frontier plans. Enterprise users have custom model configurations.Tips
- Start with Balanced (the default) and switch to Full Power when a question deserves the extra depth. Most everyday questions don’t need the most powerful models.
- Full Power uses more of your monthly budget per message. If you’re hitting your usage limits, switch to Balanced for routine tasks and save Full Power for important conversations.
- The difference is most noticeable on complex, multi-layered questions. For simple factual queries, Balanced and Full Power produce similar results.
- Your AI Power setting applies to all modes - Sequential, Super Mind, Debate, and others.
