Adjust Response Streaming Speed

Quick Answer: Control how fast AI text appears on screen. Speed it up to get to the end faster, or slow it down to read along as it generates.

What You’ll Learn

  • What streaming speed controls
  • Where to find the setting
  • When to adjust it

What It Does

When an AI responds, the text streams onto your screen word by word. The streaming speed setting controls how fast that text appears. This works in both regular chat responses and Master Document generation.

When to Adjust

Slow it down when you want to read along in real time as the AI writes. This is useful for catching ideas as they form and deciding whether to stop and redirect. Speed it up when you just want the final result and don’t need to watch the text appear. The content is the same either way - only the display speed changes.

Tips

  • Streaming speed doesn’t affect how fast the AI thinks - only how fast the text appears on screen. The AI generates at the same pace regardless.
  • For Master Document generation, a faster streaming speed means you see the finished document sooner.
  • If you use text-to-speech to listen to responses, streaming speed doesn’t matter - the audio plays at its own pace.
