# Set Your AI Response Order

> **Quick Answer:** You control which AI responds first, second, third, fourth, and fifth in Sequential mode. Go to Settings, Modes tab, and drag the AIs into your preferred order.

## How to Set Your Order

1. Go to **Settings**
2. Open the **Modes** tab
3. You'll see the list of AIs in their current order
4. **Drag** any AI up or down to reposition it
5. Your new order saves automatically

## Default Order

The default Sequential order is:

**Gemini, Claude, Grok, Perplexity, GPT**

You can change this at any time. Your custom order applies to all new Sequential conversations.

## Override Per-Session

If you want a different order for a specific conversation without changing your saved setting, use **@mentions**.

Type `@Perplexity` at the start of your message to have Perplexity respond first for that turn, regardless of your saved order.

## Good to Know

* Your custom order only affects Sequential mode. Super Mind mode runs all AIs in parallel.
* Changing the order doesn't affect conversations already in progress - it applies to new messages going forward.
* There's no "best" order. Experiment to find what works for your use case. Some users prefer research-first (Perplexity early), others prefer structure-first (GPT early).

## Tips

* Put the AI you find most useful for initial framing first. That AI sets the direction for the rest.
* If you work across different types of questions, the default order is a solid all-purpose choice.
* Try putting Perplexity first for research-heavy work - its web search grounds the conversation in current data from the start.
