# Pause Your Subscription

# Pause Your Subscription

> **Quick Answer:** Instead of cancelling, you can pause your subscription for one month. The pause starts at the end of your current billing cycle, nothing is charged while paused, and everything you've built stays exactly as you left it.

## What Pausing Does

Pausing stops your billing for one month without ending your subscription. Your threads, projects, settings, and documents are all preserved. When the pause ends, billing resumes automatically and everything picks up where you left off.

If you're thinking about cancelling because you won't use Suprmind for a while, pausing is usually the better option - you keep your whole setup, and the team ships improvements constantly, so there will be new things waiting when you come back.

## How to Pause

1. Go to **Settings**
2. Open the **Account** tab
3. Click **Pause subscription** (it's next to the Cancel button)
4. Confirm

The pause takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle - the same moment a cancellation would. You keep full access to everything you've already paid for until then.

You'll also see a pause offer if you start cancelling - the cancellation flow shows it before the final confirmation step.

## What Happens While Paused

* Nothing is charged
* Your threads, projects, settings, and documents stay exactly as they are
* You can log in and read everything, but AI replies are off until you resume

## How to Resume

Billing resumes automatically at the end of the one-month pause, with your normal monthly charge.

Want to come back sooner? Resuming early is one click: go to **Settings**, open the **Plan** tab, and click **Resume**. Your plan restarts immediately.

## Who Can Pause

Pausing is available on active monthly paid plans (Spark, Pro, Frontier, Power). It's not available:

* **During a free trial** - there's no billing to pause. Your trial simply ends on its own.
* **On annual billing** - annual plans can't pause.
* **If a pause is already active or scheduled** - one pause at a time.

## Pause or Cancel?

You can still cancel while paused - go to **Settings** → **Account** → **Cancel subscription**. That also stops the automatic resume charge.
